  1. You did a great job with your PowToon slides! :) They are fun and one more tool to allow for interactive presentations. Your comments about email, texts, etc are very 'on target'. Many districts do not allow such communication between teachers and students, which is a bit sad since that is an excellent way to continue learning outside the classroom, but due to some teachers using inappropriately, it impacts all of us. Instead, teachers use a school-controlled Facebook-like tool called Edmodo (or sometimes, Schoology) where messages can be reviewed, if necessary. I think that is very important for the younger children who are still learning the ways of digital citizenry, but I wonder how impactful it is for secondary students.
